Pete’s Garage Bar is a local tavern in the heart of southside Oshkosh.
Since its grand opening in 2005, Pete’s Garage Bar has offered sarcastic service with a smile, along with the “Best Burger in Oshkosh”.

Pete
Pete studied under the tutelage of the semi-great Chet Boyardee (pronounced boy-YARD-ee...3rd cousin, once removed, of chef boyardee). Pete’s pasta making skills are second to almost everyone. He was ousted from Italy for putting pineapple on a pizza. After 14 years at Pete’s, he has taught himself to multitask by inefficiently doing one thing at a time.
Ryan
Ryan took a 3 month course, at Hamburger University, for nearly 4 years! He was coddled by Mr. McDonald (I think his name was Ron) until they asked him to leave when he couldn’t master the art of the balloon poodle. After 12 years of Pete’s training, he can blow up a rubber glove and flip you off with it!
Don
Don learned his ways at a bowling alley, where he was the new guy for 7 years. He mastered the art of spraying the funky smell out of the bowling shoes. Now, he sprays the funky smell out of Pete’s....and he’s still the new guy after 5 years. He once drank a Busch Latte out of Pete’s belly button at his job interview.
Buck
During prohibition, Buck used to drink bud light out of bowling balls while he delivered pizzas, via the pony express, for Pizza Hut! In 1999, He learned the art of flat grill cooking when he started dating a redhead named Wendy. In 2010, he sued Hanna-Barbera for using his likeness for their cartoon character, Mr. Slate.
Kyle
Kyle began his adult years working for the Soup Nazi in New York. He brought that ‘no soup for you’ attitude back to Wisconsin where he discovered Malort! Legend has it that he once smiled for no reason at all.
Kris
Kris was an interpretive dance instructor when Ryan and Pete first took his class (they were trying to learn the dirty dancing lift). You can interpret his dance to be the mix between someone who’s been drinking for three days and someone who may have two broken legs! In 2018, he entered a bartending competition against Chuck Norris....he’s now working at Pete’s...obviously he lost.
Phil
Phil found his sanctuary, called Pete’s, in 2021. His expressionless “I may hate you, love you or think you’re hilarious” face has earned him the name “Juicy P”. Rumor has it, he finished first place in the bellyflop contest, on a cruise ship, with a near perfect flop…..and following in line with the other Pete’s disappointments, he was disqualified because they found out he was 13 crown-Royal-on-the-rocks in and walked up the platform on accident, and fell in the water…..belly first. First step was a doozy. The only things that flop now are his untimely jokes. He works the bar like DJ Jazzy Jeff works the turntable.
Sarah
We found Sarah back in October of 2020. Covid hit. We had to hire anyone that applied. Enter Sarah. It’s been said that she once took the gold in an international yelling contest…..only to find out later that they stripped her of her hardware because it was deemed that she was only talking in her normal voice. That was strictly forbidden on the international scene. It’s only acceptable in local events. She has since retired from competition and can be heard from cities away while she is avidly slinging drinks, cooking and talking shit at Pete’s.
